Meet Damariz Ortiz
Damariz Ortiz is a paralegal who speaks both Spanish and English fluently. She is a dedicated legal professional who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Georgia State University in May 2024, earning her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Law and Society. During her academic journey, Ms. Ortiz also studied at the GSU College of Law from 2022 to 2024.
Throughout her college career, Damariz was recognized as a four-time President's List Scholar and received prestigious honors as a Goizueta Latino Leadership Scholar and a Coca-Cola First-Generation Scholar. She served as Vice-President of the Dean’s Advisory Council from 2021 to 2022 and worked as an undergraduate assistant at the Latinx Student Services and Outreach office, now known as Cultures, Communities, and Inclusion at GSU. Additionally, she volunteered as an interpreter for the Immigration Clinic at the College of Law.
Damariz lives in Marietta and loves to spend her free time reading in overpriced-coffee shops, hiking with her dogs, and traveling. She has visited 13 states and 9 countries to date.
