A Bilingual Advocate Who Bridges Clients to the Firm
Damariz “Demi” Ortiz is a bilingual paralegal who supports the Morrison & Hughes legal team and makes sure Spanish-speaking clients are heard, understood, and kept informed every step of the way. Fluent in Spanish and English, she translates not just words but the whole experience of a case — so clients always know what is happening and what comes next.
Her commitment to service runs deep. Damariz graduated Summa Cum Laude from Georgia State University in 2024 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, concentrating in Law and Society, where she earned the President’s List four times and was named a Goizueta Latino Leadership Scholar and a Coca-Cola First-Generation Scholar. She is now a law student at Georgia State University College of Law, with her Juris Doctor expected in 2027, and has volunteered as an interpreter for the College of Law’s Immigration Clinic.
Damariz lives in Marietta, Georgia. Away from her studies and casework, she loves reading, hiking with her dogs, running half-marathons, and traveling — she has explored 13 states and 11 countries so far.
