More Than 25 Years in Law — and a Passion for Helping People
Amy Newton has spent over 25 years in the legal field, working across family law, criminal defense, and probate before discovering where her heart really was: personal injury. Helping fellow Georgians who have been hurt by someone else’s negligence gives her work a purpose that has kept her in this corner of the law ever since.
As a senior paralegal, Amy guides clients through car accident, slip and fall, and dog bite cases — gathering the records and bills that document what they have been through, keeping the case organized and moving, and staying in touch so no one is ever left wondering where things stand. Her clients see a steady, knowledgeable advocate who treats their case like it matters, because to her it does.
Amy joined Morrison & Hughes in 2021 and lives in Marietta with her husband and their pets; her son attends the University of West Georgia. When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find her at a baseball game, at the beach, or spending time with family.
