He Knows How the Insurance Companies Think — Because He Used to Work for Them
Tristan B. Morrison is a founding partner of Morrison & Hughes and a trial lawyer with more than 20 years of experience standing up for injured Georgians. He built his reputation on workers’ compensation and personal injury work, with a particular focus on the cases that change lives the most — catastrophic injuries, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, and serious on-the-job accidents.
Earlier in his career, Tristan worked on the other side of the aisle, defending insurance companies at two defense firms in Fulton and Cobb counties. That experience gave him an inside view of how insurers evaluate, delay, and try to minimize claims. Today he uses that knowledge against them — anticipating their tactics and building cases that hold up under pressure.
His work has earned him an AV Preeminent rating, the highest peer recognition for legal ability and ethical standards, and a long record of trial victories for clients who needed someone to fight for them. He stays active in the legal community as a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section and through his appointment to the Atlanta Bar Association’s LRIS Board of Trustees.
Outside the courtroom, Tristan lives in Powder Springs, Georgia, and is a dedicated fundraiser for several charities. Whether the matter is large or small, his approach is the same: prepare relentlessly, treat every client like family, and never back down.
